Capturing the Magic of the Christmas Market
We had our pictures taken during Belton’s festive Christmas Market, a true holiday wonderland. The market featured twinkling lights, local vendors selling handmade crafts, and the aroma of roasted chestnuts and hot cocoa filling the air. Alec and Wiggles were absolute stars, charming everyone they met. The cheerful ambiance and warm community vibes really brought the season to life.
Discovering Belton’s Charming Gems
Belton holds a special place in my heart, and I love sharing its hidden gems with others. Here are some of my favorite spots to visit:
AR•U•SHA Coffee & Tea – This cozy coffeehouse is always a delight! While I haven’t tried their seasonal drinks yet, their chai lattes are fantastic, and they also serve delicious tacos. They were even kind enough to give me a cup of water for Alec and Wiggles, which I truly appreciated.
Miller’s Smokehouse – This one-of-a-kind Texas BBQ spot is an absolute must-visit! I especially love their breakfast options, like the in-bowl house hash, which is packed with flavor. Their brisket and sausage are top-notch—you really can’t go wrong. Be prepared for some spice, though! If you’re a fan of spicy foods, I highly recommend trying their bolder offerings; they really know how to bring the heat.
Off The Rails Wine Bar –Perfect for a relaxing evening, this wine bar offers an impressive selection of wines. I love their charcuterie boards, and their homemade spinach dip paired with Rosa Regale sparkling red is my favorite!
Oakfire Pizza and Brewing – The rooftop dining experience here is unmatched. Enjoy traditional Chicago tavern-style pizza while taking in a gorgeous view of Downtown Belton. Their craft beer selection is also worth exploring.
Blackbird Books & Spirits – A unique speakeasy that combines literature and libations. In the afternoon, you can enjoy good-quality tea served with cream and sugar if you like—a lovely touch. Their handcrafted cocktails are amazing, and the intimate setting makes it the perfect spot for a quiet evening out.
