A Taste of the Square: Dining at Georgie’s in Georgetown, TX
There’s a new seafood spot making waves on the Georgetown Square, and after one visit, I already know it won’t be my last.
A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I stopped by Georgie’s, the newest restaurant in Georgetown, Texas, nestled within the historic charm of the square. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance felt relaxed yet elevated, precisely the kind of place that makes you want to sit a little longer and savor every bite.
First Sip
Strawberry Gold Sangria
We kicked things off with the Strawberry Gold Sangria, and let me say it was the perfect start. Sweet, refreshing, and just strong enough to make you forget you have an email inbox. (Highly recommend.)
The Starter
Smoked Fish Dip
For an appetizer, we shared the Smoked Fish Dip served with giardiniera and Yukon chips. This dish was such a standout creamy and flavorful, with just the right amount of kick from the pickled veg. It didn’t last long on our table!
My Main
Bluefin Tuna
For my main course, I ordered the Bluefin Tuna, paired with butternut squash, asparagus, marcona almonds, garlic, and chile. It was beautifully cooked and balanced earthy, spicy, and satisfying without feeling heavy. I paired it with a glass of Thierry Delaunay Tydy Sauvignon Blanc, which brought the whole dish together like a dream.

Fried Oyster Po’Boy
My friend Rachel went all out with Southern comfort and ordered the Fried Oyster Basket Po’Boy, accompanied by hushpuppies, slaw, and tartar sauce. Crunchy, flavorful, and generously portioned, it’s safe to say her plate was cleared!
Georgie’s isn’t just another restaurant; it’s a beautiful addition to Georgetown’s evolving food scene. Whether you’re planning a girls’ night, date night, or just in the mood for a solo moment of seafood bliss, this spot is worth the stop.
